Christian and Church

Many Christians feel that if they are being led by the Spirit they necessarily do not need to attend church because the Holy Spirit is using their gift(s) to reach their audience.
So is it mandatory for Christian to go to church?

Why or Why not?

  1. Sometimes, depending on what God is doing in the person then separation from the church is acceptable. I think that we have stepped away from allowing the believer to fully have a relationship with God. I had to step away for a moment and he allowed me to see my process as spiritual Isolation so that he can make me more like Jesus. I feel like when I go back I can deal with the problems in church better!

  2. I'm not sure! I left the church for two years while attending BHU. I was "over-churched", hearing to many voices and was losing my personal relationship with God. What it did for was amazing. I am back in church because I understand the need to attend. I need to fellowship, hear the voice of God through my pastor, and not be isolated from people that believe what I believe. At the time I had to have my wilderness experience. I think as a student I got lost in everyone teaching, chapel, professors, tapes and my local ministry was to much I was burnt out. Rebecca Johnson
